Goleta History

How did we get the name Goleta...and what does it mean? A Goleta is a schooner - and if you go to goletahistory.com you will spend many a fascinating hour learning all about our wonderful "good land".

Not only is the area rich in history but the articles are illustrated with a plethora of photos and drawings. I've lived on the Central Coast, and particularly in Goleta for a long time, and I am astonished at what I've learned in just a brief visit to this website.
